The Robotics program provides an introduction to industrial robotics and explains how they are used in plants or manufacturing systems. The primary focus of the program is on automated manufacturing processes, the role of robots within those processes and all related support equipment.
The material for the program is delivered and supported by a combination of program disk, textbook and online resources. The curriculum uses text, audio, video, 2D and3D animations, photos, audio clips and interactive robotics simulation.
Technical and tutorial support is provided via e-mail, telephone and online.
The program is designed to allow students to complete all aspects of the program and receive a Robotics Technician certificate while studying at home using a highly interactive learning package. The learning materials consist of a CD-ROM with 13 modules containing:
- Text
- Audio
- Animations
- Computer-Based Testing
- Robotics simulation software (RoboLogix)
