New Certificate Program - Robotics Technician
George Brown College is pleased to announce the launch of our newest technical certificate program - the Robotics Technician Certificate.
The Robotics Technician Certificate program will prepare you to install, manage, repair, develop and maintain industrial robotics systems. This program focuses on automated manufacturing processes and the role of robots within them. Specific areas of study include vision and tactile sensors, motion programming, safety, palletizing, conveyor systems, automated sorting systems, computer networking, computer integration and artificial intelligence.
The curriculum is delivered and supported by a combination of program disk, simulation software, textbook and online resources. It integrates text, video, 2D and 3D animations, photos, audio clips and the interactive robotics simulator, RoboLogix. The program is divided into 13 modules, each consisting of about 10 sections or major topics. Interactive exercises and the online student support centre prepare you for computer-based final exams. The average completion time is 28 weeks of part-time study.
